Janessa Smith Featured In #MusicLov3rz February!

Janessa Smith is a young Gospel songwriter who as come on the Gospel scene with great impact already in her young music career. At the age of 12, she desires to let the world know what God has placed on her heart in regards to her musical talents. Born in the Bronx New York to Jamaican parents Kevin Smith and Ann Marie Smith. Church family, along with Gospel music influenced their lives from a tender age. Now residing in the USA, in the town of West Hempstead, their desire for her was that she will know all about God for herself, and to serve him with all of her heart. Janessa has found a deep love for Gospel music, because of her dad’s influence as a Gospel music producer for various artists out of New York, she has been influenced by the sound, power and message that this kind of music brings. She has been learning on how to put words together to form a story within 4 minutes of allotted time for radio airplay. As a young Gospel artist, she has succeeded in doing so with her music. Janessa Smith was nominated for the 36th Annual Stellar Awards 2021 "Youth Project of the Year" which was held in Nashville Tennessee. She is truly grateful for such prestigious recognition, the pinnacle of Gospel Music Awards worldwide. Janessa Smith has been nominated as well for two other awards in 2021. The VOGMA Award group based in Alabama nominated her for "New Artist of the Year" and "Youth Artist of the Year." She won the Youth Artist of the Year in 2021. Also, she was honoured to receive 6 nominations from The Rhythm Of Gospel Awards for 2022, which will be held in Jacksonville Florida. Truly an honour for her. She has also had a major article interview placement in The Jamaica Gleaner's entertainment section (cover page,) Long Island Herald (front cover) and Sweetwater Artist spotlight, in which she was placed on the front page. She was highlighted for her established achievements with her music thus far. Now, as she continues to grow in her craft, the future is truly bright for her. She is being featured on a lot of platforms and gaining support from her fans! Janessa is hoping that she will do her best to present her gifts to the world. Janessa will be invited to many more award shows and events in the future, since her music is still being anchored on the Gospel Billboard charts through internet radio stations. She has moved up to as high as #33, which is a great accomplishment for a young artist, with just her second single which was released in 2020. Congrats to her once more for this prestigious award recognition for Gospel music. Now, Janessa is back with an anthem for the body of Christ which will empower you with its great lyrics and moving melodies. Her new song "Finish This Race" is here to encourage us in a big way. Janessa is feeling so motivated with this release, and she is looking forward to what God has in store for 2022. Finish This Race is a song to remind us all that our labor will not be in vain, and in due time we will reap if we faint not. Simply reminding us again that the journey before us is great, but we know that God will work through the song. He will take us all the way to the finish line, as she states in the song. She is believing that through her music, which is a testimony to the world, that a message to both youth and adults to think and to be positive in these last days. Although it seems difficult, we know that we are able to finish, and accomplish whatever God has planned for our lives. We are truly not alone, for He is there with us all the way. Be encouraged to still hold on to your belief and keep moving. Don't give up don't give in, we will make it.
