One of the core questions I pose in the song starts in the very beginning of the first verse. "Yuh nuh see seh di Christ rise?" Which, for those who don't understand Jamaican patois, is asking the questioner if they are aware that Christ was raised from the dead. Our entire faith relies on the fact that Christ was risen according to 1 Corinthians 15:14 which says “And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.”
In the second verse, I bring up the intentions of Joseph and Mary, (Jesus' parents), the disciples willing to die for what they believed to be true, and my own intentions of wanting to go back to my old ways, but Christ is all I need. The song hits hard, and it's a song to really sit and listen to, maybe with a pen and pad (laughs).
I back up all my statements in the very end with important scripture references of who Christ really is. My hope is not to win people to Christ, but to challenge skeptics to really look into the case for Christ if they really want to know the truth. Then make a decision.
