One World 5- It’s The faith that keeps us going Each and every member of One World 5/was touched by tragedy and called upon the Almighty God to take us through the difficulties and pain we all experienced at that time. Ruth’ story: Ruth the lead singer of the song “ I can feel” went through a very trying time in her life. With a 12 year old and in a happy relationship her world came crashing down around her. She was betrayed and left all alone to care for her daughter. This left a huge hole in her life that caused her enormous sorrow and pain to a point where she withdrew from society. She was downcast and questioned herself as a person and her personality and wondered why it happened. She went through a time of self pity and disdain towards the perpetrator. The bridge towards light came at a time when she looked at her daughter and realised that she had to fight and find a way to elevate herself above adversity and hatred.
