Kebin Louis Carr has been singing since he was twelve years old. He started listening to the great musicians at an early age. His greatest musical inspirations were Nat King Cole, Lou Rawls, Jeffrey Osborne, Arthur Prysock, Brook Benton and many more. He’s taken voice lessons by such greats as Ann Serann and Barbara Green Martin. Kebin would listen to Nat King Cole to study his style and the way he pronounced the words in songs. In later years he would sing jazz songs, R&B songs with various bands and groups.


In the 80s he joined church and joined the choir at Martin Temple AME Zion Church. He would then find his love for the Lord and bless the congregation with his smooth vocal abilities. He would then join Living Word Christian Center and sing on the praise team and choir. His love for the Lord and music would catapult him into doing ministry with Joe Jr. & Friends where he and his wife, Arlette, and Joe sing for various ministries such as Timothy’s Ministry and others. He has also been in commercials and shows either as a stand-in or an extra. Kebin was given the opportunity to act in the Netflix episodic TV show Easy and also had a role in the Comedy Central episodic TV show Southside.

We Are The Wave Compilation Album was an idea that I had about two years ago. I had the idea but I didn’t really have the means nor the resources to do it. I was new to networking in CHH and I didn’t have any artists to do the project with. Last year we added a couple new artists and that’s when I realized this project as possible. It’s basically an introduction to New Wave Music Group. Also to encourage the youth to let them know they don’t have to be what society tells them to be. They can forge their own path and do something bigger than themselves. I started New Wave to give the average local artist a voice. It’s a diverse team from all over the World.
