Tori & Shauna Featured In #MusicLov3rz Magazine June!

How is it possible that two people can sing with such passion as one and have such a harmonious blend? You would think that they have been singing together their entire lives. Well, the truth is, no one could have created a connection like that, but God. Tori and Shauna’s voices united are true illustrations of how different people, going in different directions, can be lead together for Gods glory.

At the age of seventeen, Shauna accepted Christ in her heart and no sooner was she presented with a chance to sing R&B with a renowned producer. But after a long ride to the studio session came to a sudden halt, and being faced with much conviction and remorse, Shauna promised the Lord that she would use her voice to sing praises to Him for the rest of her life. It was at that moment when she truly gave her voice back to the Lord.

At the age of nineteen years old, Tori was ordained a minister, and began leading and preaching the Gospel on and off the college campus.
On one special day, Tori met Shauna in a music store, where he heard seven words from the Lord that changed the course of their lives, “She is going to be your wife.” Tori clearly remembers that moment and message from the Lord, the very first time he laid eyes on her.  During that time, Shauna was a member of a female gospel group called, “Divinity.”  Tori and Kenny (Tori’s best friend) were a Christian rap duo called, “Missionary.” Shortly after Tori and Shauna became a couple, all three parties began to work under the same booking company. In 2001 Tori and Kenny featured Shauna on their 2nd album single. Then, Shauna featured them on her first solo album, as artists and producers. The three of them worked extremely well together on stage, they eventually decided to start a band called, “Malachi3.” In 2005, Malachi3 became one of Cleveland’s widespread and well known music groups in the gospel music scene. The released their self-titled debut album.  Malachi3 was a unique combination of soulful singing and deep Christian rap lyrics. Life for all three of them was about sharing and growing the brand, Malachi3.

While residing in Columbus, God brought Tori and Shauna, to Northwest Bible Church in Hilliard, Ohio. They felt a strong connection to the ministry and the people. Eventually, the choir director, Allen Lowe, asked them to be part of their local church choir. This was the moment where God began to decrease Tori and Shauna, so that He would be increased in their lives. This was an opportunity for them to share and combine their musical talents with other Christian believers and singers.
In 2015, God revealed to Tori and Shauna, His desire to restore their music ministry as a husband and wife duo. The most difficult decision in this process, was separating from Malachi3. They knew they had to walk according to Gods plan, and not their own. With much prayer, approximately two years later, Tori and Shauna connected with Grammy Award winner and renowned producer Jonathan Crone from Nashville, TN.  Jonathan invited them to Nashville to record their first duo “The Love of Jesus”, co-written by Tori, Shauna, Jonathan Crone and Josh Wright. The release of this single in 2018, was highly successful - more than what they anticipated. The sincerity felt in their music reveals God’s plan, so brilliantly.  “The Love of Jesus” opened many doors for Tori and Shauna to minster in song across the country, as worship leaders for Christian events, church services, conferences, to live concerts. This single led to their first debut EP Vol. 1, titled “Share Your Love” in 2019, which was supported by radio stations, Pandora Radio, Spotify and music lovers across the world. It has paved the way to the upcoming release of “Share Your Love” EP Vol. 2.

Throughout all of the musical ups and downs, life’s trials and triumphs, God’s hand has enhanced Tori and Shauna’s ministry from the very first day they met. As a Contemporary Christian duo, with such a powerful sound, and rare blend, their full potential is evident and will continue to blossom.
