Blake Reynolds Featured In #MusicLov3rz July!

“Blake Reynolds, is an Independent American Christian Music Artist, Worship Leader, and Songwriter from Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. He has performed with artists like JJ Weeks, Justin Warren, Ashes Remain, George Moss, and many others. He is most well known for his original song “No Other Name”, released in January of 2018. 

Blake and his family (dad, mom, brother, and sister) originated from Roanoke, Virginia but moved around quite a bit due to his father’s ministry opportunities. After moving from Virginia in 2001, he spent a few of his childhood years in Belpre, OH and then in 2006 moved to Cedar Springs, MI where he currently resides. 

Beginning his music career in 2006 playing bass for his father’s church in a small town in Michigan; Blake had no idea that he would be where he is at today.  His parents had always encouraged him to pursue music as a career even at a young age. Like any teenager though, he hated feeling pressured to do something by his parent's but, of course, looks back at those moments and knows he wouldn’t be where he is at without the encouragement and foresight of both his mom and dad. 

Blake grew up being homeschooled for most of his elementary, middle school, and high school career but his social life was not lacking since his father was a Senior Pastor and Traveling Evangelist. He did play Football and soccer from junior high-high school. He and his family are very close and he hopes when the time is right he can begin his own family 

He has been involved in music for more than 13 years and has been exposed to different areas of the industry from Promoter, Event Coordinator, MC, Backup vocalist, instrumentalist, producer, songwriter, and performer. Within the music industry, he has held different titles such as Music Director, Worship Leader, and Worship Director which he says has been very educational and beneficial for him as a leader, worshipper, artist, and person. Blake is very versatile as a musician, playing over eight instruments: bass, acoustic, electric, drums, and others. 
Blake says he is a worshipper first and foremost and that the songs he writes are written from an intimate place with God. "My heart is to write songs that reach people right where they are at in life. I want my songs to bring hope, joy, encouragement, and breakthrough to people who are broken, hurting, suicidal, addicted, depressed - people who just need a touch from God. I want my songs to echo God's love and who Jesus is." Aside from wanting his songs to impact millions for Jesus Christ, he does have other goals such as becoming a Multi-Grammy and Dover Awarding Christian Music Artist, growing his social media following to over 10 Million followers, and touring with people like Sadie Robertson, Skillet, Ledger, and others.
