Ashante "PT" Stokes, best known as PT The Gospel Spitter or The Bad Boy of Gospel has released his new single "S.f.T.K.” featuring Emcee N.I.C.E.
PT The Gospel Spitter is topping the music charts and paving his way in the film industry.
Ashante' Stokes, is preeminently known as PTtheGospelSpitter or The Bad Boy of Gospel, a rhythm and gospel artist, director, writer, producer, and performer. He has undoubtedly composed music of praise that has topped the charts week after week and produced an animated film that has landed him several prestigious awards.
Stokes's single "Praise The Maker" hits number Eighty-Five on the Top 200 Global Artist Airplay, number nine on the top 150 Global Independent Artist Charts, last but certainly not least, number one on the Internet BDS Gospel Radio Charts! Talking about giving the Lord some praise is an understatement!
PT also wrote, produced, and starred in the animated musical film titled "Praise The Maker" which is in digital distribution. This film is about two childhood friends who went down different paths in life. PT chose the Lord and Gospel music, while Slim became a street-smart dealer. PT hopes to make a change in Slim by asking him to listen to his latest track, "Praise the Maker."
As film critic Alan Ng opined, "The song is about giving your life over to God, and it injects joy into everyone who hears it causing them to burst out in dance with a positive outcome." The animated film has won 5 distinguished awards. The awards the film won are The 2019 Anaheim Film Festival award, The 2019 NYC Indie Film Award, The 2020 Best Shorts Competition, The 2020 9th Bangalore Shorts Film Festival, and The 2020 Winner Award of Recognition. As of late, the film is nominated for a London International Motion Picture Award (LIMPA). The LIMPA is an event held to circulate film culture and the accomplishments of different film art branches to strengthen the connections among filmmakers throughout the world. Stokes leaves no stones unturned when it comes to talent.
He is also a surging actor and can be seen honing his craft in movies and TV shows such as Taken 3, Ant-Man, Born Again Virgin, Satisfaction, Burning Bridges, Saints & Sinners, to name a few. Focus, determination, and about Yahweh's business is how "The Bad Boy of Gospel" shows praise.
At 13, his family moved to Connecticut, where he attended Woodrow Wilson middle and Middletown High. He began singing at talent shows and at Christian work camps in conjunction with the church he attended, bringing the flavor of his music of choice, R & B.
He was a chanter at Wheat Street Baptist Church and played handbells at Hillside Presbyterian Church. After high school, Stokes attended Ohio University, where he obtained a degree in marketing. He pens his own lyrics and boasts a six-octave range.
Stokes is also the co-founder of the entertainment company, Serving the Peace, established in 2013. The company’s first business division is a rhythm and gospel label. Stokes debut project, “Raise Up,” was released in 2014.
He also does voiceover work and writes, produces, and direct feature animation, which he also does for others. PT is a man that is genuinely after GOD’s own heart. His faith, focus and drive keep him on the path to prosperity, success, and peace.
