The Journey to Redemption

Born and raised in Philadaphia, PA I grew up a shy kid. Growing up in a single parent home, where I watched my mom raised my two brothers and I. After graduating from high school, I took a year off to find out what I wanted to do with my life. Around the time I was 19 years of age, I decided to join the Armed Forces. Thus, being the beginning stages of my life being resurrected.

The first few years of my adulthood was spent on clubbing, getting drunk, and fornicating. Although, in the back of my mind I knew I should have not been living this way, I couldn’t stop it. I was powerless to fight against the sins that were plaguing me. Which also resulted in me getting into many bad relationships, almost getting numerous women pregnant. However, it was the grace of God that kept me through it all.
I had a hard time dealing with sexual immorality which lead to an addiction to masturbation, which in turn led me to being addicted to pornography. My life at this point was going down and further down the hill. Once my time had passed form the Army, I moved back to the U.S. I was sent to a place where I didn’t want to go but I am thankful to this day that The Lord ordered my steps to go there. Now, living in Ft. Leavenworth, KS I met a man named Elrico, who offered me to come to his church FCCI. One day in the year 2008, I was at church service and heard the Gospel preached to me, and the Pastor there was talking about knowing if you are going to heaven. I wasn’t quite sure, but I had this powerful urge in me to come to the altar where the Pastor was calling for people who was ready to accept Christ into their hearts. As I sat there on my seat, I could feel within my heart The Lord calling me into his Kingdom. During that church service, I decided to accept Christ and to live for him. Since then, the Lord has been molding me and changing me into his likeness. Moreover, the process of sanctification has now began.
