Christopher Simms Featured In #MusicLov3rz Magazine May Edition!

Rising Gospel artist, Christopher Simms, is proud to release his latest single, “Desperately Waiting” featuring Marcus Aaron, on May 1st 2020.

“Desperately Waiting” is a flavorful tune that is sure to keep listeners grooving and heads bopping to the techno sounds and rhythms of a clever “Gospel pop”. It is a song that will keep the soul uplifted and the heart hopeful for God’s intervention and much needed providence especially during these strenuous times.

“My mission is to help people understand purpose,” says Christopher. “I want people to know that in spite of everything they go through, God still has purpose for them. Even in bad situations, God takes those things and works them out for our good. He uses our challenges to build and develop character.”

A native from The Bronx, Christopher grew up in a family of musicians, where he learned to play the drums. After playing in the church for so many years, he was encouraged by his sister to try his hand at singing, which he later discovered to be his true passion.

Well known for his powerful vocals and heartfelt worship, Christopher has collaborated with various Gospel artists and groups such as B. Renee, Elder Matthew Greave, and Praise Xpressed Worship Ministry as a background vocalist and soloist. He serves as a Worship and Youth Leader at Morning Star Church located in Harlem, NY.

In 2017, he received an award for Best Gospel/Inspirational Song of 2017 for “Lord I Need You” presented by Random Radio Show. He was a male finalist in the 2018, McDonald’s Gospelfest; and was nominated in 2019 for the Best Male Vocalist for the Kingdom Image Awards.


Even though all events and travel are currently cancelled due to the outbreak of Covid-19, Christopher can be found as the new co-host of the Praise Radio Show at powerandpraisenetwork.com. The main purpose of the show is to create a platform that highlights the latest projects of Local Artists, Authors and Pastors.
