A Detroit native, Kenosha Angelique Meade was born January 14, 1985. She discovered a love for singing at the tender age of six when her mother bought her first karaoke machine. Shortly afterwards, while in middle school, her mother signed she and her sisters up for glee club, opening up doors for them to sing for their school, special events, as well as televised events. Although shy and timid, seeing herself on television increased her love for singing and music all the more. A few years later, she and her sisters entered their first talent show at Myra Jones Elementary School in Detroit, winning second place. Around the age of 11, Kenosha entered her first solo talent showcase, performing at Coco’s House of Comedy, again winning second place.
